Why quasi-daily?

Because I can only write when inspired, and therefore, committing myself to daily postings would be a useless lie. Evangaline "Belle Eva" Unger, 07-27-2010

11-03-10: Don't analyze too much. Certain issues require feeling supported by faith. Trust that the power that be knows what it is doing, and matters that seem dire today will in their own time be revealed as the stepping stones upwards they are.

10-05-10: We are mental beings. Trying to change our environment without first changing our mental state can only result in failure.

09-30-10: Of all the temptations the Lord's Prayer asks the Lord not to lead us into, spiritual pride, or self-righteousness (same thing, different name) is the most tempting, and the most dangerous.

09-27-10: Don't need your eye. Don't want your tooth. My best play is to bless you, forgive you, and send you on your way so I can go mine.

09-24-10: In my never-ending battle against my urges to get even, I must remember this: repercussions dealt by the universe to those who go against it will do far greater damage than whatever pea-brained schemes of revenge I might be planning.

09-20-10: What is heaven? Bringing the mind, and therefore the body, and therefore our very being into alignment with the universe. Thought processes along the lines of hatred, jealousy, self-pity and anger separate us from that pursuit.

09-16-10: The body, marvelous as it might be, is not intelligent. It cannot resist healing. It must do what the brain tells it to do, and so it is the brain which must heal the body.

09-14-10: It is natural for us to express the Universal Power / God. Doing so brings freedom from fear and doubt. Resisting it brings chaos and frustration.

09-10-10: Simplified, every issue comes to one decision. Fear? Or God?

09-07-10: Our relationship with the universe is like parent to child, and like most parents, the universe, when asked, provides the means necessary for its children to achieve their goals.

09-03-10: Ask and you shall receive means asking your brain to acquire the tools it needs so you can get what you need.

09-01-10: Brain is like muscle. What I think upon grows, and the more I think on that subject, good or bad, the more it is magnified in my life.

08-30-10: Knowing without feeling has no effect. Knowing with feeling has great effect, regardless of whether the information is accurate or inaccurate. This is why I must be ever-vigalant with what I hear on radio or see on television. If I believe statements made are true, then my emotions are changed regarding that subject. If I don't believe them, they have no effect on me. If I investigate to find them false, they stir my anger, or at least disappointment, because someone masquerading as a news reporter tried to present their opinion as fact.

08-28-10: It is impossible for me to demonstrate progress until I've forgiven those I believe (rightly or wrongly, true or no) have injured me. It is for my sake. Not theirs.

08-26-10: Once my subconscious accepts an idea, it immediately attempts to put it into action. The process might be quick, or might take some time, depending upon the knowledge I've stored regarding the idea, but my mind will go to work on the accepted idea. It is true for both positive and negative ideas, so I must choose carefully my thoughts.

08-24-10: Unlike physical labor, a relaxed approach is required for mental. Going easy and steady promotes creativity and endurance.

08-22-10: Like chemistry, certain laws govern thought. My thoughts control my destiny, but I cannot simply kill an undesirable thought. By telling myself not to think that thought, I'm thinking about that thought. I must substitute. Replace it with a thought more constructive, so that I forget about the previous, destructive thought.

08-21-10: Sometimes the simplest of people have the most common-sense ideas. A friend of mine suggested that near the footprints of the twin towers is a perfect spot for a mosque. That way, if they are up to harboring fugitives or funneling money to terrorist organizations, we will know exactly where they are and can easily moniter their activities.

08-13-10: God isn't out there somewhere in the universe. The two are one and the same and within me by amounts of my choosing. No man of the cloth can tell me God is elsewhere. No men of the cloth, no group of people, no particularly-branded organization can possess more of God than I do, or you do, or anybody else does.

08-12-10: Sometimes, in order to de-emphasize material things, my brain requires repetition, a phrase of affirmation spoken parrot-like but silently to remind me that God is infinite power, and the only power worth having.

08-10-10: Faith in a higher power does not conflict with intelligence. The universe is an engine -- pistons in conflict with valves would blow it all to smithereens.

08-06-10: Meditation, or prayer, doesn't require a clearing of all thoughts from my brain, but a redirecting of thoughts to the Universe ... God ... It is my partner, because I am a part of it.

08-04-10: The empowering of my soul requires erasure of the line between sacred and secular. There is but one source.

08-02-10: Discovering the primal power of being is the birthright of all men.

07-30-10: God, i.e. the universe, i.e. the universal power, is purely good. It's the elements within that create the bad, but all bad is fleeting.

07-28-10 (later): I should be like a photographer -- focus on one task, and once satisfied with what I see, snap it before moving on to the next.

07-28-10: One look at the sky -- day or night -- gives great perspective. The power which runs this universe can certainly deal with whatever trifling problem is trying to sour my mood.
